About David Buck

David Buck is a 35-year-old successful entrepreneur based in Oregon. He’s a graduate of Oregon State University with a degree in Horticulture. Shortly after graduation, he invested in and operated a local apple orchard. With knowledge and experience tucked under his belt, Buck decided to pass on the information to other entrepreneurs. He focuses on Sustainable Horticultural Production, Horticultural Research, Ecological Management of Turf, Landscape, Urban Horticulture, Therapeutic Horticulture, and Viticulture & Enology. These are big words, but for those in the field, they also have a big meaning. David has worked with your local strawberry farms, to state parks, and flourishing vineyards and wineries.

David Buck enjoys helping entrepreneurs understand more about investing in horticulture, whether they are looking at farms, orchards, or vineyards. He is proud of his research and expertise in sustainable horticulture as well as urban horticulture and landscaping. Buck is a proud of member and sponsor of Future Farmers of America and even mentors young adults who are interested in farming and other areas of the horticulture business. David Buck is also a firm believer that the earth can nourish the body. He teaches other farmers about therapeutic horticulture and has worked closely with care facilities on how to incorporate designing healing gardens for patients and caregivers at medical and other care facilities, designing and using horticultural systems for people with disabilities, and using therapeutic horticulture to assist people with physical, emotional, or mental challenges  in gaining skills, adaptations, and coping methods that enhance their lives.

In his free time, Buck enjoys traveling abroad with his partner. He also enjoys reading and working in his own garden while also volunteering in the local urban garden. There he gives lessons on growing and harvesting plants for self-sustainability. He also teaches about harvesting and preserving seeds for future use. You can catch him in his small apple orchard giving tours to children and families alike.
